Candlelight, moonlight, starlight...
..the most beautiful light is lovelight...
And yes, "lovelight" is so a word, in spite of what Spellcheck thinks... Don't you remember the line in the old Bellamy Brothers song, "Let Your Love Grow"?
there's a reason, for the sunshine sky
and there's a reason why I'm feelin' so high
must be the season when that lovelight shines
all around us
At least, that's how *I* remember it..
Anyway, we had dinner last night with A&T at the Neches River Wheelhouse, an open-air icehouse-style restaurant down the river a ways.. We had the fried shrimp and gumbo. A&T had a dinner of assorted appetizers - Shrimp en Broche', gumbo, and shrimp cocktail.. So it was kind of a Bubba Gump kind of meal..
But the best part of dinner with friends and lovers is the conversation, right? Romance or conversation will make up for a less than perfect meal any day. I'm not so sure it works the other way 'round.. Luckily both were really nice last night.
It was a wee bit chilly - by Southeast Texas in October standards, mind you.. The restaurant is right ON the water. But they have a big fire pit and heaters for when it does get cold.
And really, who could be cold, basking in the light of her smile?
