Buxton Steam Centre as was. 1984

16.12.84 "Harry" on the short one coach shuttle on what was left of Buxton Midland station. Barclay 1823 was the last conventional steam locomotive working in industry at Crossley scrapyard at Shipley. "Harry" arrived at Buxton on 3rd August and was steamed in half an hour after arrival. It is unlikely that Peak Rail will achieve their aim to have Buxton as their Northern terminus.
