'The Lancastrian' was an ambitious tour and a long day for those who joined at Taunton at 6.47am and arrived back at half past midnight. Steam came on at Hereford taking the Marches route to Chester and water. Then the CLC line to Man. Vic. Then to Blackburn and on to Hellifield for a water stop before taking the Little North Western to Carnforth with diesal power back to Taunton.
