It's all about the light...
rufender Silberreiher im Flug / shouting Great White Egret in flight
Dieser Silberreiher wurde von Spaziergängern mit Hund aufgescheucht und fliegt krächzend davon. Für einen kurzen Moment waren keine Häuser hinter ihm zu sehen, sondern der unbelaubte Wald am Berghang. Das war meine Gelegenheit für ein Flugfoto mit einem schönen, bunten Hintergrund. Sieht idyllisch aus, ist aber mitten in der Zivilisation. 100m hinter mir ist die A5.
Tech. Info: bei ISO 320 war die Unterbelichtung von 1/3 Blende ausreichend dass die weißen Federn nicht ausbrennen. Weil das selbe Licht die Bäume anstrahlt gab es keine Probleme mit dem Kontrast.

This Great White Egret was startled by walkers with their dog and flies away croaking. For a brief moment, there were no houses in the background, just the leafless forest on the mountainside. That was my chance for a flight photo with a beautiful, colourful background. Appears to be idyllic but is amidst the civilisation. 100m behind me is the Autobahn (70k cars, 9k trucks per day)
Tech. Info: at ISO 320, the underexposure of 1/3 stop was enough to prevent the white feathers from burning out. Because the same light shines on the trees, there were no problems with the contrast.
