Seehunde werden in den Monaten Juni bis Juli geboren, anschließend etwa fünf Wochen gesäugt und dann allein gelassen. Das Foto dieser kleinen Robbe entstand Ende September, sie ist also etwa drei Monate alt und damit groß genug um ohne Mutter zurechtzukommen. Das scheint auch gut zu funktionieren, das Kleine war recht kregel und gut genährt.
Common Seals are born in June and July and are then suckled for about five weeks before being left alone. The photo of this little seal was taken at the end of September, so it is about three months old and thus old enough to get by without its mother. This seems to be working well, the little one was quite active and well fed.
