Kanadagans / Canada Goose

Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich ein Bild von Kanadagänsen im Frühnebel hochgeladen. Die Gans auf dem Bild ist eine von ihnen. Als der Nebel sich langsam auflöste, flogen die Gänse davon, wahrscheinlich um für das Frühstück auf eine der umliegenden Wiese zu fliegen. Die Sonnenstrahlen dringen durch die sich auflösenden Nebelschwaden und beleuchten die startende Gans von hinten. Der Nebel ist auch zuständig für die gedämpften Farben; da hätte ich das ganze gerne etwas knackiger gehabt aber so war halt das Licht an diesem Morgen. Die Bäume im Hintergrund helfen dabei, dass man die Sonnenstrahlen sehen kann. Mit einem weißen Hintergrund hätte ich dieses Foto wahrscheinlich noch in der Kamera gelöscht.

 

Some time ago I uploaded a picture of Canada geese in the early morning fog. The goose in the picture is one of them. As the fog slowly cleared, the geese flew away, probably to one of the surrounding meadows for breakfast. The sun's rays penetrate through the dissolving clouds of fog and illuminate the starting goose from behind. The fog is also responsible for the muted colors; I would have liked the whole thing to be a little crisper, but that's just how the light was that morning. The trees in the background help you see the sun's rays. With a white background, I probably would have deleted this photo while still in the camera.
