Auch bei den jungen Gänsen dreht sich am Anfang ihres Lebens viel um die Mama und weniger um den Papa. Hier waren die Gänseeltern mit ihren Kindern unterwegs aber die Kleinen kleben noch sehr an der Mutter. Wenn sie zusammen schwimmen ist das noch auffälliger als an Land. Die vier Gössel lassen sich aber schon an ihrem Verhalten unterscheiden. Der Kleine ganz vorne mit dem etwas dickeren Schnabel ist der keckste der Bande. Er hat sich immer am weitesten von seiner Mutter entfernt, hier schwimmt er lustig vor ihr her. Den Ganter sehen wir nicht. Aber auch wenn er es hier nicht mit auf das Bild geschafft hat, er ist immer wachsam in der Nähe und stets bereit seine Familie vor Gefahren zu schützen.

When it comes to goslings, at the beginning of their lives the main focus is on their mum and less on their dad. Here the goose parents were out and about with their children and we can see that the little ones are very attached to their mother. When they swim together, this is even more noticeable than on land. The four goslings can be distinguished by their behavior though. The little one at the front with the slightly thicker beak is the cheekiest of the gang. He has always strayed farthest from his mother, here he swims merrily in front of her. We cannot see the gander. However, even if dad didn't make it into the picture here, he is never far away but always alert and ready to agressively protect his family from danger.
