Buntspecht (♂) / Great Spotted Woodpecker (♂)
Dieses Buntspechtmännchen (beachte den roten Genickfleck) war damit beschäftigt, sich mit einem anderen Buntspecht zu kabbeln und gleichzeitig noch etwas zu fressen zu finden. So war er ziemlich abgelenkt. Obwohl ich mitten auf dem Waldweg stand kam ich relativ dicht an ihn heran. Glück gehabt, normalerweise versteckt er sich wenn er mich sieht immer auf der Rückseite des Baums und schaut bestenfalls seitlich daran vorbei wie ich mich mit der Kamera abmühe.
Um das Bild besonders detailreich sehen zu können, drückt die Tasten l (kleines L) und F11. Beim vergrößern nur durch Anklicken gehen viele Details verloren.
This male Great Spotted Woodpecker (note the red neck patch) was busy squabbling with another Great Spotted Woodpecker and trying to find something to eat simultaneously. This way he was quite distracted. Although I was standing in the middle of the forest path, I still got relatively close to him. Lucky me, he usually hides at the back of the tree when he sees me and at best looks sideways from the back of the tree as I struggle with the camera.
