Silbermöwe im Watt / Herring Gull on tidal flat
Diese Silbermöwe war mit ein oder zwei jungen Möwen im Watt auf Futtersuche. Anhand der Beringung konnte ich herausfinden, dass sie in Kiel / Friedrichsort im Sommer 2011 geboren wurde. Seit August 2013 lebt sie in der Gegend um Büsum. Angeblich können Silbermöwen bis zu 30 Jahre alt werden.
This Herring Gull was looking for food while being accompanied by one or two young Gulls. With the information from the ringing I was able to find out that it was born in Kiel / Friedrichsort in the summer of 2011. Since August 2013 it is living in the Buesum area. Apparently Herring Gulls can become up to 30 years old.
