Down to the Old Railway Footpath

The footpath runs beside the mainline railway here then veers off to the right, following the path of the old spur line to Balderton and beyond.

 

An Azuma High-speed train from London, probably on its way to Edinburgh can be seen rounding the bend as it heads towards Newark Northgate station.
