Hand-painted Flowers on Silk Finish Postcard

This postcard was sent from Japan to England in the early 1900’s. Although from Japan I believe the card was originally from China but maybe some member can help me out about the writing. Also, what flower is it? It looks like a cornflower but isn’t the colour wrong? Artistic licence maybe?
