The High Altar, St.Mary Magdalene Church, Newark

Looking from the Choir Stalls and Chancel towards the High Altar and Stained Glass Windows in the small private chapel behind. The size of the church which some think is the same as some small cathedrals is because when it was built between the 12th and 15th Centuries, Newark was a very important town and the biggest in Nottinghamshire.
