I'd have to say the difference in sharpness between these two lenses is negligible - at moderate apertures at least - from my unscientific test here with two completely different emulsions and cameras. The audacity of it all!
I think I was at a 5.6 for both ( maybe 5.6 and a 1/2 for the Yashica as it was shot on a different day and brighter) but considering there is approximately 45yrs difference between their design and construction It's impressive to say the least.
Of course the Zeiss weighs about the same as 2 entire Yashica Lynx bodies in the hand.
