It’s been a year.

Without you.

I will never forget that day.

The day you went away.

Nobody asked me if I could live without you,

Because If they had I would have said I can’t.

Two little girls bonded through sisterhood, heartache and pain we built our fort so strong.

Secrets shared, taken to your grave.

To say I miss you just doesn’t seem enough, my soul aches with your absence.

But all is not lost, I live each day with hope.

Hope I see in your daughters eyes as she wraps me in her embrace.

Hope I hear in your sons laugh, exactly like your own which is the sweetest sound to hear.

Hope that all your pain is gone and you’re wrapped in light and love.

Hope that one day we will all be together again,

Hope is all I have.
