Stupid message in a bottle

I was hoping this gen-u-ine message in a bottle would be from a princess trapped on a pirate's island in medieval times or Terry Waite or something, but no, it was written ON THE DAY I FOUND IT by people who I'm fairly sure hadn't even bothered to throw it in some water. It reads: 'Hi! We have just had an excellent lunch washed down by the contents of this bottle and now we are going to the opera. What about you?'
