Children's book idyll. Lower Vicar's Farm, Oxfordshire
This farm has more of the appearance of a small, tightly clustered hamlet, including a wooden barn with a date of 1720.
A perfect setting for any of the children's books I grew up on.
It stands at the very end of the Turville valley and is backed by steep wooded hills on three sides and can only be reached by footpaths or its farm track.
It stands on the huge Wormsley Estate, owned by Sir Paul Getty since 1985.
Even in late June the grass already being bleached by the early heatwaves.
