View eastwards from the cupola of the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford

Looking to the bell tower of New College, built 1396-1405 and its chapel to the right.

New College Lane crossed by Hertford Bridge (commonly known enevitably as the Bridge of Sighs) that links the old Hertford College building to its 19th century extension.

On the skyline on the left is the (visually) badly sited enormous John Radcliffe Hospital, one of the largest and most important in the country. Just a shame its on the skyline.

Taken through the closed window of the cupola, the ghostly reflection of the others visible. In fairness the cleanest glass I've ever seen. How they manage it up here is beyond me. Puts mine to shame!
