The medieval King's Head, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Owned by the National Trust this is one of the oldest inns in Britain first documented in 1455 but with much older cellars dating to the 13th century.
I assume it once held pride of place on the market place, but is now accessed by alleyways, hidden behind later buildings that have encroached on the open space, a common practice over the centuries.
Grade II* listed.
