Warborough, Oxfordshire, England
Some of the houses and the great thatched barn on the south side of the tranquil village green. The bulk of the village lies around its two greens, and benefits from having no through road so remains delightfully peaceful. The western most green is small, well treed and surrounded by delectable cottages. The other is by far the larger, a huge open greensward, easily big enough to have a permanent cricket pitch and pavilion. Delightful cottages and houses are scattered around three sides, the fourth offering open views across the flat farmland of the Thames to the distant Chiltern Hills.
Having no-through road has made it very attractive to film makers, and the village is a favourite location for Midsomer Murders, especially its highly picturesque thatched pub, The Six Bells.
