On 13th March 2019, the Permanent Missions of Ghana and Germany to the United Nations, respectively Chair and Vice-Chair of the Group of Friends of the “African Women Leaders Network” to the UN, with the support of the African Union and UN Women, are organizing a high-level side event on “Building on the African Union 2019 Theme Year of Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Africa: Tapping into African Women Leadership to ensure Refugees and IDP’s full access to Social Protection.”
