RT 4599

Nineteen-seventies enterprise or folly? RT 4599 converted in 1978 with 'vintage' front and open rear staircase for London touring by the Vintage Bus Company, was one of several vehicles thus rebuilt. Though hardly likely to fool the purists, it no doubt appeared older than it really was to tourists from overseas. It is pictured here in Greenwich during June 1980.
