Watch This Space

In addition to cover crop incorporation into the berms, hedge rows, pond and end row beneficial plants and trees, I'll be recommending a pollinator plot in this space.

Very interesting project, which I'll pass to my daughter, for incorporation of indigenous floral to entice indigenous fauna. Big Horned Owl boxes, which are thick like fleas in the creek to our north. Putting up Barn Owl boxes would be cruel. The Big Horned Owl is referred to as The Tiger Owl. In addition, hawk and eagle perches. Yay! They're not there for beauty but for function. These join forces with the Fox, Coyote, and 2 Otter families. And I'm not mentioning all the fauna that benefits, frogs, snakes, etc. 90% of the fauna is in the invertebrates. I'm looking for balance between floral and fauna in the predator / prey cycles.

Update: Well that wetlands habitat grant took a dump fast, agent didn't like the Johnson Grass. Guess they didn't read the project review before arriving on site. Watch this space, crows are circling.

Update2: They're Back! Guess when I'm the only organic block in town, you get more consideration. Incorporation of a more polyculture transitions berms and end rows with the raptor perches and boxes is back.
