Social interaction between Soprano Pipistrelle Bats
2019-09-19. Recorded at a small stream or burn at Station Road, Ballykelly when several Soprano pipistrelles were flying about.
There is some background hiss from the stream.
Standard echolocation calls, all above 50kHz are heard throughout but lower pitched Type C social calls are heard which vary between single FM sweeps and repeated more complex social calls.
These calls are associated with flight when several individuals are present.
