Southern Moon Detail

A friend kindly commented that the Southern aspect of my Moon mosaic looked very sharp so I thought I would go back to the original 1600×1200 panel of that region and mark up a few of the craters.

 

I have included some objects that are part of Charles Woods’ “Lunar 100″, an observing list of increasing difficulty as the numbers rise.

1000/102mm refractor with Skyris 273m CCD camera. 1500 frames stacked in Autostakkert 2 with best 3% chosen. Post-processed in Registax 6.0 and Photoshop CC.
