Patchwork Flowers
1. My Placemat for the last placemat swap, 2. Flower Block, 3. bolsita de costura, 4. Grandmother's Flower Garden 2, 5. dotty leaves, 6. Happy String Flowers Mystery Quilt - Free Pattern
There are tons of patchwork flower patterns out there! You might be able to approximate some of the simpler ones without a pattern (part of the reason I didn't specify the size of the block was to simplify the math for anyone who does it that way). Otherwise, the patterns below or a different pattern of your choosing would work well if you like the idea of making a patchwork flower.
Quilter's Cache has the Granny's Flower Garden pattern seen in #4 above, and Modern Tradition Quilt Bee has some suggestions for playing with that pattern.
Carter Quilter has posted the pattern for the string flower quilt shown in #6 above, which contains directions for each of the three shapes of flowers.
Quilter's Cache also has an "Easy Flower Block" pattern, not pictured above.
