"Calzoncelli": a family tradition

Fried "calzoncelli" are typical xmas sweets where I live.

 

They are filled with a cream of chocolate, chestnuts, nuts and a bit of coffee.

 

Some people use pears(!) instead of chestnuts.

 

Someone else uses also candied fruits inside.

 

Some people put some sugar on the top.

 

Someone else puts sprinkles and honey on the top.

 

Each family has its own recipe: they are a continuous surprise!!! ;-)
