Assignment_2

My expertise level with photo editing is not very high. Prior to this quarter I have never touched Photoshop CC (the program I currently use) but feel like I got down the basics. I would still say I'm a beginner with photo editing because there is a lot I think I can still learn to improve.

To start editing this photo, I first cropped it to cut out the grey line at the bottom where the red stops because it was a little distracting, and also rotated it to make the bottom of the mural more level. I then made a slight levels and contrast adjustments. Next I adjusted the saturation to bring out the color to give the photo a more "happy" feel. Last I sharpened the photo a little to make it more clear and crisp.

I feel like these edits improved the photos overall look. It took away the slight distraction at the bottom of the photo and made it more vibrant to make the photo feel more positive and exciting. The original still had some color but it was pretty dull and brought down the overall mood of the photo with his facial expression, but by adjusting the color I think it gave the photo more positive emotion.
