Muscovy hen recovering ...

I first spotted his hen sometime early to mid June along with her nine ducklings. Returning the next day to discover there were only seven ducklings left. The following day, three ducklings were noted and by the evening only one duckling remained by her side. Sadly the only duckling did not survived. She looked very distressed and exhausted then.

A few days ago, I saw her resting with the company of another heavily pregnant Pekin hen. Hope this one has better luck.

The feather on her right wing was like that ever since I saw her. Also, this hen appears to be crossed breed of Muscovy and Pekin duck (not to be confused with Peking duck), not sure.
