Reverse flow
This was the actual image I went back to the Peak District for last weekend, before getting distracted by the Plug Hole at Ladybower.
As the winter wind pushes up the valley gathering speed across the Derwent reservoir, it hits the overflowing wall of Howden Dam and for a brief moment, reverses the flow pushing the water back over the top.
Armed with the big camera and tripod I shivered for a few hours dreaming of my hand warmer back at home charging in the office waiting for the right combination of wind and winter sun.
