Rape Field
An Oil Seed Rape field photographed early yesterday morning.
This field of oil seed rape is just outside my home-town of Barton-upon-Humber and I'd photographed it in the evening recently but wanted to see what it was like in the morning.
The sun was rising to my left and I composed with it just out of frame so I could keep detail in the sky without the highlights blowing out. Luckily the sky was quite interesting, with some lovely cloud.
I like this location with the track and hedge leading off into the distance.
There was a slight breeze so I used an ISO of 400 to help with shutter speeds as I didn't want the rape to be blurred.
Canon 5D MKII.
Canon EF L 17-40 @ 17mm.
1/30sec @ f16 @ ISO400.
Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 plus geared head.
Lee ND Grad filter.
