Audubon's Warbler

This is the Western species of the Yellow-rumped Warbler. As far as I understand, the AW is a separate species from the Yellow-rumped Myrtle Warbler.

The difference is the yellow throat vs. the white throat on the Myrtle along with unique calls. The Audubon's lives from the Rockies westward and north through most of British Columbia. The Myrtle nests across Alaska and Canada east to Newfoundland and into the Upper Midwest and Northeast.

I found several of this species throughout Wyoming, Utah, as well as Colorado. It seemed to be ever-present in forests wherever I went. I got many close encounters with varying light. I chose to post this shot because sun that gleamed through the very tall poplars. This little guy was opening his summer in Utah.
