Vernon, California

Union Pacific’s San Pedro Sub was once bustling with traffic to and from the ports as well as local traffic, but that all changed with the advent of the Alameda Corridor. Nowadays the only movement on the line is local job YLA63 seen here powered by a trio of heavily camouflaged GP40-2s shoving a cut into the siding before continuing their switching duties.
