Angosterian 'Flag Dance'

This interesting dance is not often seen on display at the Angosterian Folk Festival although a serious contender on State TV in their Come Dancing compendium. This is due largely to the quite inclement weather habitual during the festival, which has often seen the participants carried aloft by their flags on the wings of a sudden hurricane. However on this occasion we see the beginning of the climax to the dance which sees the blue flags of East Angosteria and the Red of West Angosteria meeting in celebration of the two previously warring countries uniting under one ruler, set square and pair of compasses. As can be seen, the band have whipped themselves into the frenzy of this passionate dance with the whirring of the dancers tunnelling into the concrete sod. Very soon the dancers will combine and begin the battering ceremony, using their respective flags to pound their opposites to pulp. The band will then begin to foam at the mouth, the attendent crowd will burst into the flags of all nations and the verger will fire his pistol! When all has been reduced to a bubbling mash the Honourable Company of Chronic Hospitalers will bring 12 selected skeletons into the arena for the dance of the dead and a rattling good time will be had by all.
