The Milk Train Heads West - 30781
Southern Region N15 'King Arthur' class 4-6-0 No. 30781 'Sir Aglovale' of Bournemouth (71B) shed, provides the motive power for the early evening milk train for Devon. Passing Wimbledon station on the 18th of June 1960.
Sir Aglovale, a 71B based engines of long standing, was destined to be one of the few Arthurs to survive into 1962, being withdrawn in May, and finally succumbing to the scrap man at Eastleigh works in the same month.
