Teignmouth Curiosity?

Some kind of jet car I suppose? I would not like to be behind this beast when it drove away!

A curiosity at a classic car gathering in Teignmouth on April 21st 2014.

I have since found out that the jet engine is a Rolls Royce Derwent Mk8 from a 1950s Gloster Meteor jet fighter which was in service during 1952 and 1953. The engine is mounted on a bespoke cradle and attached to a Mitsubishi L300 chassis and running gear. Operating gear for both the internal combustion engine and the jet are incorporated within the cab.

And good luck too mate!
