Cubana de Aviación

 

The second Cubana Britannia to visit Munich-Riem during the 1972 Olympic Games parked on its stand. (The first one, CU-T671, was noted at Riem on 18 August 1972.)

 

On 12 September 1972, CU-T670 also visited Fürstenfeldbruck Air Base (FEL) used as a relief airport for Riem during the Olympic Games. Another Cubana Britannia, CU-T668, never came to Riem and was only seen at Fürstenfeldbruck, on 8 September 1972.

 

Other aircraft noted at Riem on 20 August 1972: Aeroflot Il-62 CCCP-86676, Air Canada DC-8s CF-TJG and CF-TJO, Interflug Il-62 DM-SEC, Iran Air B707 EP-IRL, Rousseau Aviation N262 F-BNTT, PAL DC-8 PI-C804, Varig B707 PP-VJK, SAS Caravelle SE-DAA, LOT Il-18 SP-LSD. (The two Pan Am B707s visible in the background of the photo above were apparently too common to be logged.)

 

Delivered to Cubana in 1959 as CU-P670, re-registered to CU-T670, wfu by 1978, scrapped at HAV by 1997.
