N836E was noted at Riem on 28 August 1971, which is probably the precise date for this shot. The aircraft had been acquired from Air New Zealand in April 1971 and is still wearing the airline’s basic colour scheme. Seen here about to start up to leave Riem again. Note the AviAction F28 in the background on the left and the Iberia Caravelle plus Pan Am 707 on the right.

Ordered by Qantas 1 April 1958 as VH-ECD. Leased to Air New Zealand as ZK-TED from April 1970. Sold to Nomads Inc as N836E on 21 April 1971. Sold to Mandala as PK-RLG and was written off at Medan on 30 November 1985 with nil fatalities after starboard wheels fell off in flight.
