This DC-8 was originally delivered to Airlift International as N6162A in August 1969. It went on to fly with Capitol, Arrow Air and National Airlines before cargo conversion. It then went to Emery Worldwide in March 1986 as N952R and on to Airborne Express in July 1995, becoming N826AX a couple of months later. After November 2007 operated as 9G-SIM for Johnsons Air out of the UAE. Grounded by the Ghana CAA at the end of 2013.
