Delivered 1979. Air Terrex OK-JGY 1992, leased to Pacific Airlines 1993-1994, from 1998 ZS-OBO Comair, Kulula, Safair. Withdrawn past 2004 and scrapped. Painted 1990 in the latest colours as the only 727 so treated and used for a number of special charters but reverted back to operating European and domestic schedules in later days. Flew very last Lufthansa 727 service as LH9680 from Frankfurt to Hamburg on 04 October 1992.
Before, D-ABKT had also flown the last Lufthansa scheduled 727 service (FRA-VLC-FRA) on 26 September 1992. (Source: flugrevue.de)
In August/September 1990, D-ABKT was chartered by the Government of Brunei, reportedly carrying the Sultan of Brunei's sister on a shopping expedition to the US. Photos from JFK and LAX exist. (Source: joepriesaviation.net)
