D-BOBC is lined up for take-off on Riem’s runway 25.
Delivered new to General Air as D-COBC in July 1972, re-registered as D-BOBC in February 1973. Following the airline‘s insolvency in October 1975, the airframe was ferried back to the USSR in December 1975 and registered as CCCP-87819 (2). It went on to the Government of Angola as D2-EAG in December 1976 and served as VIP aircraft until wfu at LAD ca. 2007 (leased to Cadabo and Alinord of Italy as I-JAKO in 1986/1987 and from 1987 to 1993 respectively). Seen at LAD in March 2009 in the scrap compound; no longer visible on Google Earth in January 2013. (Sources: scramble.nl and ddr-luftfahrt.de)
