München-Riem
April 1991
YR-IMM
Ilyushin Il-18D
187009904
Romavia/Romanian Government
YR-IMM was noted at Riem on 31 March 1991, probably the exact date of this shot. (The slide was dated June 1992, maybe it was processed very late, in any case the photo looks very similar to another one of this aircraft at Riem dated April 1991, see below.)
Tarom Il-18s were frequently seen at Riem between 1976 and 1978, but I have no report of YR-IMM among them, probably because this aircraft was used as a VIP transport.
Information from bsl-mlh-planes.net (slightly adapted):
This Ilyushin Il-18 was delivered to Tarom in 1967 and served the government to transport high-ranking officials and government members (reportedly used by Romanian president/dictator Nicolae Ceausescu as his primary presidential plane for short-haul flights). In 1990, Romavia was contracted to provide government flights. However, the Il-18 continued to be used and would not leave the fleet until the fall of 2002, as Yuzhnaya's UN-75001 in Kazakhstan.
To Trast Aero in January 2008 as EX-115 (re-registered EX-18001 in January 2010 and EX-18005 in March 2010). To Sky KG Airlines as EX-18006 in January 2012. To Central Air as EX-18006 in August 2013. Scrapped at Bishkek-Manas (FRU) in September 2015. (Source: scramble.nl)
