D-ALAP is coming in to land on runway 07 with Riem’s tower and terminal buildings visible in the background.

 

This aircraft was delivered new to Lufthansa in February 1956 and served the airline until retirement in November 1966. Wfu and stored at FRA and broken up in February 1967.

 

The Super Constellation preserved at Munich-Franz Josef Strauß airport today was painted as D-ALAP for a while but is in fact ex-Air France F-BHML. It currently is painted as D-ALEM (October 2023).

 

The registration D-ALAP was re-used for Airbus A321-231 c/n 1421 flying with Aero Lloyd from February 2001 and Niki from November 2003 to March 2004.
