JA8545 (c/n 47853 l/n 343) was delivered to Japan Airlines in December 1980 and spent its whole career with Japan Airlines and associates to be retired in August 2005. After retirement by JAL this aircraft was purchased by Omega Air as N853VV and placed into storage at Pinal Air Park AZ.

 

This slide taken in May 1988 shows the aircraft wearing the first color scheme for JAL's DC-10s, in use until 1989 with double red-black cheatline.
