Air Bridge Carriers - ABC
G-APRN was noted at Riem on 12 June and 21 June 1979. Other reports I have of this airframe at Riem: 18 October 1971 (with Sagittair), 23 July 1972 (with Sagittair), 10 & 24 August 1974 (with ABC), 11 April 1975 (with ABC), 22 September 1976 (with ABC), 9 February 1977 ("Jaguar Support Aircraft" with ABC), 2 & 3 November 1977 (with ABC), 20 May 1980.
Detailed information from flickr - thanks to Ken Fielding:
This was the 4th aircraft on the line and first flew in May-59 as G-APRN. After taking part in the prototype test programme it was delivered to BEA British European Airways in Nov-61. It was only with BEA for 4 years. In the meantime, Armstrong-Whitworth Aircraft was absorbed by the Hawker Siddeley Aviation Group and the aircraft was sold back to them in May-65. It was stored for 3 years until it was sold to Universal Airlines as N897U in Nov-68 and sold on 2 months later to Nittler Air Transport. In Sep-71 it returned to Hawker Siddeley as G-APRN and was sold to Saggitair Ltd., however it was repossessed by Hawker Siddeley in Sep-72 and sold to Field Aircraft Services Ltd., in Feb-73. Field's sold it to ABC Air Bridge Carriers in Jun-73. It was leased to the British Aircraft Corporation in Nov-75, returning to ABC in Jan-76. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair when the right main undercarriage leg collapsed on landing at Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK, on 17-Apr-82. It was broken up at Belfast later in 1982.
