Did you know:
... that bees have existed for over 90 million years?
... that a bee colony has up to 40,000 worker bees?
... that a worker bee can fly at speeds of up to 50 km/h?
Worker bees perform extremely hard work:
A bee flies out about ten times a day, visiting 250-300 flowers.
But they only live for 4-5 weeks in the summer and produce 2 teaspoons of honey in this short life.
To produce 1 jar of honey, a single worker bee would have to fly around the world three times.
May 20, 2025, is World Bee Day!
A world without bees is unthinkable!
But bees urgently need to be protected because the decline in the global bee population is well known.

Arbeitsbienen verrichten Schwerstarbeit:
Eine Biene fliegt täglich etwa zehnmal aus und besucht dabei 250-300 Blüten.
Aber sie lebt nur 4-5 Wochen im Sommer und produziert in diesem kurzen Leben 2 Teelöffel Honig.
Für 1 Glas Honig müsste eine einzige Arbeitsbiene dreimal um die Erde fliegen.
Der 20. Mai 2025 ist Weltbienentag!
Eine Welt ohne Bienen ist undenkbar!
Aber es bedarf den dringenden Schutz der Bienen, weil der Rückgang der weltweiten Bienenpopulation erkannt ist.
