Water Sprite 2

This image is my second photo of The Water Sprite from the legend William and the Water Sprite and it was taken in Bonne Nuit bay. This image is showing the water sprite throwing water into the air, and like the other Water Sprite image, it was taken in dull natural lighting. This again was an advantage since it gave my image a mysterious look to it, and it also made sure that it wasn't over exposed which was good as it would of made the water drops in the air less apparent.

For this image, I used low shutter speeds in order to capture the water at the right moment. I used the slow shutter speed so I would capture the water drops in the air as the Water Sprite threw them upwards. I did this because I thought that it would be quite cool to show the Water Sprite "controlling" the water since it portrayed how powerful the Water Sprite really was

Regarding the editing of the image, I opened it in photoshop, duplicated the layer and made the layer black and white. After that I used the art history tool to make the Water Sprite be in colour again. I felt that making this colour splash would make the Water Sprite stand out and therefore, it would grab the audiences attention to the main focal point of the image.

This image also consisted of a dark border, which contrasts with the blue of the Water Sprite. Therefore, making her stand out. The dark border also makes the image go with my theme as it makes the image look mysterious and spooky.
