This "tree sanctuary" is a way for Illinois to protect different species of tress well as animals that inhabit the woods. This can be connected to how we learned about preserving land in class and how humans can start to reverse our impact on deforestation and destroying the environment. Morton Arboretum is a start. It is an area for people in the area to learn about different types of trees and how to protect them. By educating other people about the species in the area, it is one step closer to starting to reverse climate change.
