Jocotoco antpitta - Белощёкая питтовая муравьеловка (Grallaria ridgelyi)

Conservation status by IUCN Red List – EN (Endangered)

Jocotoco antpitta is a very rare bird, the population is estimated at 480-600 individuals, the habitat is about 250 sq km. It was first described only in 1999. The photo shows a juvenile bird; adults have larger white cheeks and no brown nape.
