Our Daily Challenge 12-18 November : Glazing
From my student potter days.
We were influenced by the visit of the famous Japanese potter Shoji Hamada.
It is much harder than you might think to make a hand thrown teapot. as the spout is inclined to untwist in the firing so you have to compensate for that when attaching it!
The lovely glaze on this was made with some beech ash from my lounge fire.
