Chiesa di San Francesco - Abside.
Gli affreschi del vasto interno ad aula unica occultati dalla scialbatura del 1579 riemergono oltre che nella controfacciata nella ritrovata abside duecentesca.
Si tratta di un vasto ciclo del quarto decennio del Trecento attribuito a Mello da Gubbio e raffigurante uno straordinario consesso di dodici apostoli disposti su sei troni bicuspidati sormontati da angeli con potenti ali arcuate su nuvole saettanti che recano altrettante corone.
Nelle vele del catino absidale, entro robuste cornici, sono profeti e patriarchi (di chiaro influsso lorenzettiano) con al centro il volto glabro di san Francesco d'Assisi.
Su due delle nove lunette in cui e ripartito il catino, le scene, prive di cornici, si dilatano per dare spazio alla narrazione della Maddalena che riceve la veste da un presbitero e di santa Margherita della quale resta solo parte del suo emblema: il drago.

The frescoes of the vast single-hall interior, hidden by the whitewashing of 1579, re-emerge not only in the counter-façade but also in the rediscovered thirteenth-century apse.
This is a vast cycle from the fourth decade of the fourteenth century attributed to Mello da Gubbio and depicting an extraordinary assembly of twelve apostles arranged on six double-cusped thrones surmounted by angels with powerful arched wings on darting clouds bearing as many crowns.
In the vaults of the apse, within sturdy frames, are prophets and patriarchs (clearly influenced by Lorenzetti) with the hairless face of Saint Francis of Assisi in the center.
On two of the nine lunettes into which the apse is divided, the scenes, without frames, expand to give space to the narration of the Magdalene receiving the robe from a priest and of Saint Margaret of whom only part of her emblem remains: the dragon.
